I've hardly been able to bring myself to blog: just seems like every little thing wears me out, and I've had some big things on my plate.
Like, you know, growing a baby who weighs, already, more than seven pounds; looking for the right renter for my bitty house; trying to keep the spark in my man's eye; parenting three kids whom I think may very well be conspiring against me; preparing and teaching Sunday school lessons; purging the log cabin of all unnecessities; and celebrating the season according to my (ridiculously high) standards.
Today, the kids and I met my aunt in Staunton to pick up a wooden dresser for Baby Chip. It's the coolest thing; it has a changing table on top and tons of drawer space. Plus, it's been used by four kids over 20+ years, which is exactly how I like my stuff.
So I'm moving slow, but I'm still moving. On Friday, the doctor said Baby Chip has turned and "headed for the light." I've never gone into labor that hasn't been induced, but Jim says a halloween baby would be very fitting (since I might be the halloween-lovingest Christian ever). My doctor will induce labor on November 6th at the very latest.
Looking forward to getting this pumpkin out from under my shirt: that's for sure.
Chip...love it. Excited and happy for you. Enjoy your life, my friend, each precious, precious moment.
ReplyDeletesweet girl...not much longer. i see the light for you too:)
ReplyDeleteYour girls are just precious!! I prayed for you and Baby Chip on my (LONG) run yesterday! I'm very excited for you!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I miss taking pictures of my kiddos in the pumpkin patch. I loved me some Halloween fun as a mama my own self--but don't tell any of my fellow homeschooling mamas I said so ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes. Yes they are conspiring against you.
So sweet, I always love pumpkin patch pictures there is just something about the colors or something....I'm glad you are still hanging in there. Just remember....it might be work now growing that baby and getting around but then when you get them here and out of there, that is when the REAL craziness begins, I say ENJOY! (smile)
ReplyDeleteLove this. Love those pictures.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I spent 3 hours on the road to deliver pumpkins that two grands had selected the weekend before--but the pumpkins didn't make the transfer last weekend with the children and the overnight bags from my husband's car to their mom's.
Yes, it made no economic sense to do so.
And yes, I had to do it.
Ack! And rest well. I cannot wait to meet Chip!
DeleteRejoicing with you!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSweet pics~now picturing you with a pumpkin under your shirt:) Blessings in your final weeks with Baby Chip hidden.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures didn't load for me. :>( Thinking of you, praying for you as the end is in sight. Hang in, hang on - this, too, shall pass. MOST DEFINITELY.
ReplyDeleteha great pumpkin patch pics...and i know you are ready...this is exciting...the big day will be here soon...i look forward to celebrating with you!
ReplyDeleteBaby Chip, we're eager to "meet" you! Grace, grace, grace to you, Brandee!
ReplyDeleteIt is getting close! Hang in there. And those pumpkin patch pics? Adorable!
ReplyDeleteKids and pumpkins. This is the cutest combo. I'm praying for you to bring Chip into this world with grace and joy. Take care, my friend.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos & post! Praying for you and your family and baby Chip. My (only) baby was in breech position 2 weeks before his due date, and the doctor said she'd have to do a C-section unless he turned around. So I started gently asking him to turn around, and that afternoon, he did just that! (We could see his fist and then his legs pushing up against my tummy as he turned!) He was born completely naturally on his due date, but hasn't obeyed that well since! Seriously, he's a great blessing (age 22 now) and a fine young man.
ReplyDeleteLove in Him,
Laurie
nice - enjoy and be blessed with Chip
ReplyDeleteI think I'm a Halloween-Lovin' Christian, too! I'm celebrating over at my blog starting tomorrow, with a ghost story on Saturday - and a Scary Mommy re-run Tuesday, while I make spooky cupcakes and, hopefully, get those pumpkins carved Saturday!
ReplyDeleteBTW - Just take your time, live at your own pace! SAVOR!
