Prayer Meeting of the Blogosphere (8)

Hello, and welcome to the eighth, old-fashioned prayer meeting of the blogosphere. My sweet friend Marlece hosted, last week, and I loved making new friends in her space.

I'm moving a little slowly, this morning, having returned home late last night from a quick trip to Maryland (more on that, later). All three little kids have taken a dose of Tylenol, and the baby is still feverish and lying against me as I type. We'll rest, today.

I've struggled, these last few weeks, but my prayer is of gratitude:

Father, thank You. Just thank You. Thank You for sending Your perfect--Your only!--Son to this broken place to die for broken people. Thank You for loving us in spite of our sins and shortcomings. Thank You for forgiving repentant hearts: for being great enough to put it out of Your mind so it doesn't hinder relationships. Thank You for refusing stubbornly to leave or forsake Your children: for walking with us though our pains and struggles and despite our weaknesses and failures. You are so good. In Your Son's name I pray, amen.

Now it's your turn! Would you like to participate in an old-fashioned prayer meeting of the blogosphere? Here are some ideas:

  • You can pray about my prayer request.
  • You can share a prayer request by means of a comment.
  • You can share a prayer request on your personal blog and direct me to your post by means of a comment.
  • You can pray about a participant's prayer request.
  • You can write a prayer about my, your, or someone else's prayer request (in comments hither or yon, on your blog, etc.). If your prayer is somewhere other than this place, please direct me as you can and  will.
  • You can join in praying my or someone else's prayer.
  • You can share an update regarding a prayer request you've made here, in the past.

Thank you again for being here, and I hope to see you next week, if not before.

  1. Amen.

Lord, there is so much to thank You for, even in the midst of the hard. And there's plenty of that right now too. Thank you for Your sovereign power to heal me and mine of all that ails us, and for Your grace made perfect in our weakness in the mean time. Grant me courage, perseverance, and steadfast trust while I wait for You. Thank You for your love and mercy, in Jesus' name. Amen.

    1. Amen.

Father, thank You for Christina: for her love for and faith in You. Thank You for her willingness--even in suffering--to share and teach. I know You hold her closely and ask Your healing for her because that's what I want. Meanwhile, help us to remember that we have every victory in Jesus and need only live our way into it. Help us to trust that You will use every hurt and that Your plan for our lives is perfect. In Jesus's name I pray, amen.

    1. Thank you, Friend.

Father, lifting Maura up to You, asking healing for her body, for her relationship with her son, and for whatever the source(s) of that brokenness. I know You know the specific needs, Father. Send helpers. Bless Rick as he ministers. We love and thank You in Jesus's name, amen.

  3. I said a very similar pray to the Lord this morning, Brandee {{hugs}} His Grace and Mercy continues to astound me and as I became more broken the "more" He is there for me!! I walk in awe of His Amazingness!

Can I ask that you pray for my dad. He was 85 yesterday but been struggling with pain this past week and I've taken him twice to see his Dr. He suspects Kidney stones and has prescribed pain meds and doing better. Thanks so much! XX

    1. Julia. I just love you so much.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Julia...for who she is, in general...for who she is to me, specifically, from so very far away. Thank You for walking closely with her, for making yourself known to her. I lift her dad up to you, Father, asking continued relief from pain...for easy passage of stones...for the best possible scenario regarding his health. Bless Julia as she helps and comforts, and make the time sweet. We love and trust You in this and all things and pray in Jesus's name, amen.
